Naruto: Lost Dimension is different from most others, if not all, Naruto RPG's. First and foremost, clans play a much different role on this site than others. A clan is not a family and is no longer relative to a Kekkei Genkai. A clan is merely the first level of a 'Province'. It has a low population and low land-mass. A clan forms when a single person, or group of people, conquer a territory whether that territory is already owned by another province or has yet to be claimed. The leader of a clan is known as the 'Clan Leader' or just 'Leader'. The next level that a province can reach is a 'Village'. A village is slightly larger and more populated than a clan and is ruled by a 'Feudal Lord'. Next is a Hidden Village which is ruled by a Kage and the final level is a Country, which is ruled by a Daimyo. A new province must always start as a clan and work its way up, leading to the next part of this guide. How one goes about conquering a territory in the first place.
Conquering Unclaimed Territory:The first step in conquering unclaimed territory is to start by posting a topic in the
Unclaimed Territories forum under the specified territory sub-forum of the territory that you wish to conquer. In order to successfully conquer this territory you must:
- Eradicate, push out, or gain the favor of the indigenous population. [NPCs + Actual RPers.]
- Fight off anyone else who wishes to claim or defend the territory.
- Give anyone 48 hours to stop you from claiming the territory.
- Have at least one other shinobi to aid you in your efforts.
Conquering Established Territory:The first step in conquering a territory that has already been established as part of a province is to start by posting a topic in the territory of said province. In order to successfully conquer this territory you must:
- Eradicate, push out, or gain the favor of the indigenous population. [NPCs + Actual RPers.]
- Fight off anyone who wishes to defend the territory.
- Give anyone 72 hours to stop you from claiming the territory.
- Have at least two other shinobi to aid you in your efforts.
- Capture the capitol of the territory.
- Capture, defeat, or kill the designated head of that territory.
~Territory Capitols will have Capitol descriptions pinned in each forum so that any potential attackers will know what to work with. However, the capitol's layout will remain unknown to the enemy unless they gather the information themselves.
~The head of the territory or province represents the people, and if he or she lives the people will continue to resist your ownership of the territory. You can kill the head, make them flee the territory, capture them, or send them into hiding. Any of these options (and perhaps another option.) will work, so long as the head is not a political threat.
~You can also acquire a territory peacefully. The head of the territory or province can give you ownership, or you can simply block the borders of the territory. This is a useful tactic if the territory does not have 'livestock' or 'renewable resources' as a perk, as the territory will die out without the ability to import the resources it requires.
- In order to blockade, the opposing force must surround the border of the territory with his or her troops, these must be player characters. The players are responsible from stopping anything from exiting or entering the territory. Another province that has 'livestock' or 'renewable resources' as a perk can aid the territory by attempting to smuggle in said resources, causing your blockage to fail.
- The purpose of the blockade is to starve out the inside force, and to acquire this you must make sure no one with supplies goes in or out of your blockade. Obviously one person can't make a difference, but a caravan of supplies can break the purpose of your blockade. You must hold the blockade for 72 hours without the inside force receiving supplies.
- After starving the population, which only works if they do not have renewable or livestock resources, the population will boot their leader and accept your leadership with open arms.
~There are other methods of peacefully acquiring a territory, so any other tactic of doing this is accepted as long as it is fair and legitimate.

Maintaining your Territory:In order to maintain the territory, you must fill out the template under 'Province Creation' that fully defines exactly what you are in charge of, how your government works and what type of government it is, the perks of your province, and other details. Other than that, all you have to do is defend your region from blockades, other threats, and the threat of war with other provinces. There is also the threat of a revolution in your region if one of your own shinobi choose to turn against the province.
